Doing this job we've met so many creative, wonderful, amazing people who we are so lucky to now call friends.. and one person in particular is Drew Roper. We moved in to the Custard Factory in Birmingham just over a year ago and one day a wonderfully strong Black Country accent filled the corridor followed by a guy with the most contagious smile and the biggest heart.
Drew was an Animator and had his studio (Yamination Studios) down the hall working on his new short film 'At Issue'. He would pop in for a cuppa.. and we would pop in to his studio for sneaky previews of the work being done. We saw Bartholemew (the main character) literally come to life in front of our eyes.. sets being built.. props being made from butter tubs.. stop motion being filmed and with every step.. the feeling of utter admiration and pride became stronger and stronger.
Watching the first few seconds of finished film I actually cried. The quality just blew us away..
To have this sort of stuff happening in Birmingham is so special. Drew is stupidly talented and because other people believe in him too.. he has the most wonderful team that are helping him to reach his goal and get this incredible short finished...
But like all things.. it simply comes down to money. Drew and his incredible project needs some help.. so I would love you forever if you could watch this little film and any donation, however small would be so gratefully received..
You can find out more about Drew's kick-starter project and donate HERE... I predict big things for Drew.. and of course his little side-kick Bartholemew.. ;)
